Evidence Records in an AI-Native Internet

When synthetic content is cheap and convincing, the scarce thing is a record you can independently verify. Evidence records become the trust primitive of an AI-native internet.

An evidence record identifies the artifact by hash, links it to a claim, and can preserve signed custody events. Related artifacts can be committed under a Merkle root so one item can be proven part of the set without disclosing every other item.

Raw files do not belong on a public ledger. They can contain confidential, personal or regulated information and are expensive to replicate. Noesea anchors commitments and protocol outcomes while the holder controls the underlying content and decides what to share.

The receiving side matters as much as creation. A useful record includes enough structured data for another browser, service or command-line tool to recompute the relevant hashes, validate signatures and distinguish local integrity from on-chain anchoring and finality.

That distinction prevents a common trust failure: a polished badge that silently collapses local checks, storage availability and chain settlement into one ambiguous word such as verified. Each assurance level should remain explicit and independently testable.
